Dit is een extreem zeldzaam instrument, die in kleine aantallen in Engeland is gemaakt van 1979 tot 1983. Dit model is vooral bekend geworden door de koreaanse reissue modellen uit begin jaren 2000. Het origineel ziet men vrijwel nooit, omdat de productie te duur was om commercieel succesvol te zijn.
Dit is er één, en wel helemaal origineel en in bijzonder goede staat!
Het model laat de hoge kwaliteit zien die Jim Burns leverde in de vroege jaren 80.
Aan de details is te zien dat nergens op werd bezuinigd.
De foto's laten zien dat zelfs de snaarhouders op de kop zijn voorzien van kogellagers. De pickups zijn omschreven als Burns typen, maar zijn overduidelijk gemaakt door Dimarzio, en lijken erg op de vroege model J en model P pickups. Met high end Allen Bradley Mod pots, MKP foliecondensators, een dure britse selector switch met verzilverde contacten, en de output jack heeft vergulde contacten.
De brugplaat is een dikke plaat uit verchroomd messing die tot aan de hals doorloopt. De brugzadels zijn gegoten uit brons. De topkam is gemaakt van zelfsmerend brons, en staat bovenop een messing kopplaat. De mechanieken zijn Schaller M4 typen.
Hals is uit geselecteerd canadees hard rock maple, en de body is uit braziliaans mahonie.

This an extremely rare instrument which was produced in very limited numbers from 1979 to 1983. This model has become better known by means of it's Burns London korean reissue models of the early 2000's.
The british made originals are rarely seen, as very little were made due to the prohibitive production costs.
This is one, and in fully original and exceptional state!
This instrument demonstrates the high quality standards Jim Burns held in the early 80's. The details show that no costs were spared; even the stringtrees have ball bearings..
The pickups have been described as Burns types, but they are clearly made by DiMarzio, and strongly resemble the early Model J and Model P.
Featuring high end Allen Bradley Mod pots, MKP foil type capacitors, a british made selector switch with silver plated contacts, and an output jack that has gold plated contacts.
The bridgeplate is a heavy chromed brass plate which extends all the way to the neck. The bridgesaddles are cast in bronze, and chrome plated. The nut is made of self lubricating bronze, and sits on a chromed brass headplate.
The machineheads are Schaller M4 types.
The neck is made of selected canadian hard rock maple, the body is made out of Brazilian mahogany.
