Ibanez ST200

De ST200 was één van de duurdere modellen uit de studio serie van Ibanez.
De gitaar kan passief worden gebruikt, maar heeft ook een inschakelbaar actief “EQ2 tone system” welk 15 dB versterking of verzwakking kan geven aan het middengebied, alsmede aan het treble gebied.
Op de foto kun je zien dat de actieve filter electronica op spoelen is gebaseerd, iets wat tegenwoordig erg ongebruikelijk is.
Deze bijzondere ST200 is vrijwel geheel origineel, met uitzondering van de pickups, de oorspronkelijke V2 elementen zijn hier vervangen door Seymour Duncan 59 modellen (bridge en neck).
Deze gitaar heeft een Gibraltar brug met een sustainblock ingelegd in de body, alsook een Quick-change staartstuk.
De Rosewood toets heeft 24 “velvetouch” frets.
De body bestaat uit een rockmaple centerblok, met daarnaast walnoot strips. De vleugels bestaan uit Essen. De gelijmde hals bestaat uit drie delen rockmaple.
De staat is gebruikt maar netjes en liefdevol onderhouden.

The ST200 was one of the higher end models from Ibanez’s studio series.
The guitar features an active on board 'EQ 2 tone system' which allows for 15dB boost or cut in the middle range as wel as in the treble range. However the guitar can be switched to passive mode, effectively bypassing the active filters.
On the photographs of the circuit board one can see that these active EQ filters are inductor based, something that is quite rare nowadays.
The guitar is fully original except for the pickups. At some point the original V2 pickups have been changed to Seymour Duncan 59 models.
The guitar features a Gibraltar bridge with a brass sustain block inlaid into the body, aswel as a quick change tailpiece.
The rosewood fingerboard has 24 'velvetouch' frets.
The body consists of a rock maple centre block with walnut stringers on each side and ash body wings. The set neck is made up of three pieces of rockmaple.
The guitar has clearly been used, but has always lovingly been cared for.
